Look up a USDOT from the tender

Census state is the state on the physical address the carrier filed on MCS-150 — not a catalog of trucks for hire. OOS (out of service) flags sit on the USDOT. Search the number on the tender.

A USDOT, MC #, legal name, or city+state runs the search. A state alone prefills the form — click Search carriers there to run a statewide query.

Why state matters here

Census physical state

FMCSA’s census phy_state is the state on the physical address the carrier filed on MCS-150. It is self-reported and stale. It is not a filter for who hauls your lane.

OOS (out of service) is on the USDOT

Live OOS is a 365-day unrescinded heuristic on that USDOT. We do not invent a per-state OOS ranking.

Statewide scans stay on Search

State links below prefill the search. They do not auto-run. Click Search carriers when you intend a statewide query.

From a rate confirmation

  1. 1

Read the USDOT or MC #

The tender already named the motor carrier. That identifier is the search.

  2. 2

    Read measure + alert

5 live BASIC categories (measure + alert), padlocked Crash and HM, live OOS. Nothing we invented.

  3. 3

    Keep the file

$35 frozen SHA-256 dossier, or Broker Pro at $129/mo for up to 500 USDOTs.

Prefill by census state

Opens ClearTheTender with that phy_state. Results wait until you search.

Questions

Does ClearTheTender list carriers in a city?

No. We vet a USDOT you already have. Census city and state are the physical address on MCS-150, not a local catalog. City search requires a state.

What does the state filter actually search?

FMCSA census phy_state — the state on the physical address the carrier filed. It is not the states they haul, and we do not invent an OOS flag for that state.

Why does a state link open ClearTheTender without results?

A statewide scan can be hundreds of thousands of rows. State links prefill the search. Click Search carriers when you mean to run it. City-only searches are blocked because census city is not indexed.

What happened to old city pages?

Old Texas city URLs redirect into a ClearTheTender search for that city and Texas. They are not listing pages.
